“GLOSSA” (ΓΛΩΣΣΑ) is the pseudocode language used in Greek schools to teach programming. These two tools turn PowerPoint into a convenient editor for GLOSSA code in your presentations. The code and keywords are in Greek.

What is included

  • FormatGlossaCode (syntax highlighting): colours keywords, strings, comments (!), operators (<--, <=, <>…) and special functions (Α_Τ(), Α_Μ(), Τ_Ρ()). It does not format inside strings and comments, and the colours are customizable.
  • IndentGlossaCode (indentation): rebuilds the indentation from the structure of the code (ΑΝ … ΤΕΛΟΣ_ΑΝ, ΓΙΑ … ΤΕΛΟΣ_ΕΠΑΝΑΛΗΨΗΣ, ΜΕΤΑΒΛΗΤΕΣ and more), using 3 spaces per level, and removes unnecessary blank lines.

How to install

  1. Download the ZIP with the “Download” button and extract it.
  2. Open PowerPoint and press Alt + F11 for the VBA editor.
  3. Use Insert → Module to add two modules and paste the code from glossa_syntax_highlighter.vb and glossa_code_indenter.vb into them.
  4. Save the presentation as .pptm (macro-enabled).

How to use

  1. Type the code in a PowerPoint text box and select it.
  2. Press Alt + F8 and run IndentGlossaCode (indentation) first, then FormatGlossaCode (colours).

The order matters: indentation changes the structure of the text, and highlighting works better on well-structured code.
